COME HOME AMERICA – A CALL TO ACTION (PDF)

The AWCF is a worldwide fellowship of Apostolic believers. Our record speaks for itself. We have conducted successful crusades and conferences all over the world. We support international ministries, and by God’s help, will continue to. However, the United States of America, the base of the AWCF, is under attack. The forces aligned against America are demonic in origin. Moral decadence is everywhere. Mainline Christianity is compromised. Evil alliances worldwide and within, hostile to our security are emboldened to move against us. The national debt is unsustainable; every economical commentator says, we are on the edge of a financial meltdown. Our leaders in Washington, DC, are confused and don’t know what to do. Too many American Apostolic churches are lukewarm and at ease.

It is imperative that we preach the Apostolic doctrine. We must maintain a personal standard of Christian discipline in our thoughts and behavior. When we study both Old and New Testaments, read the prophets and apostles, and of course the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, we cannot escape the realization that we are here, in the now, to be witnesses for God’s truth, be the salt of the earth, be the light of the world; proclaim the whole Word of God, establish boundaries and values consistent with His commandments for the protection of society and the salvation of mankind. With that in mind, we must remind ourselves of Esther, whose generation faced extinction, but God raised her up for a “time such as this.” Our time has come. When sin rushes in as a flood, God will raise up a standard. His Church is that standard. We are the Church built upon the rock that the gates of hell cannot prevail against, (see Matthew 16:18). Knowing who He is, washed in the blood of Jesus and spirit filled, we are His watchmen upon the wall, calling out “Prepare to meet thy God.” Thus, our prayer for, and our invitation to this generation, must be; “Come Home America.” “…the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits” (Daniel 11:32).

Please note the following quote from Charles H. Spurgeon, the famed clergyman of the 19th century, called by many, “The Prince of Preachers”. He was the pastor of the largest church of his era, noted author, Bible scholar, a prolific preacher, and a man of prayer:

“Brethren, our preaching will bear its legitimate fruits. If there is decay of conscience, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the press lacks moral discernment, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the church is degenerate and worldly, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the world loses interest in Christianity, the pulpit is responsible for it. If Satan rules in our halls of legislation, the pulpit is responsible for it. If our politics become so corrupt that the very foundations of our government are ready to fall away, the pulpit is responsible for it.”

The following should provoke every God-called Watchman, (Man or Woman) to prayer and action:

1…Public schools are destroying the faith of Christian children, and the pulpits are silent.
2…Children are taught they came from apes, and the pulpits are silent.
3…Millions of children are “medicated” to control their behavior, and the pulpits are silent.
4…Gambling is promoted to pay for schools, and the pulpits are silent.
5…Precious babies are being murdered in the womb, and the pulpits are silent.
6…Obama says the Sermon on the Mount justifies gay marriage, and the pulpits are silent.
7…Faith-based initiatives invite the government into the church, and the pulpits are silent.
8…The IRS muzzles the voice of the church, and the pulpits are silent.
9…The church locks arms with compassionate-conservatism, and the pulpits are silent.
10..Children’s service agencies separate family members, and the pulpits are silent.
11..Self-help books replace the Bible, and the pulpits are silent.
12..The book, “A Purpose Driven Life” is elevated above dying to self, and the pulpits are silent.
13..George W. Bush says Christians and Muslims worship the same God, and the pulpits are silent.
14..The U.S. Constitution is ignored, and the pulpits are silent.
15..Our elected officials lie and steal, and the pulpits are silent.
16..Private property is stolen by the government, and the pulpits are silent.
17..Mother Earth is protected more than Father God is defended, and the pulpits are silent.
18..The entertainment industry celebrates debauchery, and the pulpits are silent.

Almighty God has charged His called and commissioned ministry: “But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand” (Ezekiel 33:6).

“Give me one hundred preachers who fear nothing but sin and desire nothing but God, and I care not a straw whether they be clergymen or laymen; such alone will shake the gates of hell and set up the kingdom of heaven on earth. God does nothing but in answer to prayer.” – John Wesley
